Developed
as a farm horse around the 16th century, it was considered
one of the best having great pulling power and being
a very good 'doer'.
Now more often seen pulling brewer's drays and at shows.
Origin: East Anglia, England.
Colour: Chestnut (7 shades).
Height: 16 hands.
Conformation: Large head and deep neck,
compact body, powerful.
Character: Docile, intelligent.
Uses: Draught, show.
