The Arab Horse Society
The Arab Horse Society is a registered charity and was founded in 1918 to promote the breeding and importation of Pure-Bred Arabian horses and to encourage the wider use of Arab Blood in light horse and pony breeding.
The Society:
• is the stud book authority for Pure-Bred and Anglo Arabs and maintains a register for Part-bred Arabs
• promotes the welfare of horses and ponies
• has a Regional Group organisation with shows, training, social activities and sales support
• organises the National Breed Show
• operates a Premium Scheme to promote the use of Arab blood
• organises educational courses and seminars on veterinary topics, judging, racing, jockey testing, etc
• is a member of the World Arabian Horse Organisation and European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations
• maintains a comprehensive library for use by members
• sells souvenirs, books and videos about the Arabian Horse
