Ariat® International Partners with New York City Equestrian Georgina Bloomberg

Union City, CA – July 18, 2007 – Ariat® International announced today that Georgina Bloomberg, one of the most successful equestrians currently competing on the Grand Prix circuit, will act as a product development consultant for the company. Ms. Bloomberg is a member of the Ariat® Performance Team, an elite group of equestrians who compete internationally.
At the age of 24 years old, Ms. Bloomberg has an impressive list of equestrian accomplishments on her résumé. She was the veteran rider in this year's 2007 U.S.E.F Developing Riders Tour of Europe, winning three classes at the CSIO in Hamin, Finland in June. She and her teammates won the coveted FEI Nations Cup at that same event. She was a member of the U.S. Show Jumping Team at the 2005 Samsung Super League at La Baule, France, and the 2004 winner of the USET Foundation Maxine Beard Award. She returns to compete on this year’s Samsung Super League team at Hickstead, England and in Dublin, Ireland. Ms. Bloomberg also took the individual gold medal at the 2003 North American Young Riders' Championships and the team gold at the same event in 2002. Georgina Bloomberg enjoyed an equally successful junior career.
Ms. Bloomberg is recognized for her equestrian accomplishments, but is also known for her willingness to be an ambassador for the sport. In 2006 she founded The Rider's Closet, a charity that distributes gently used riding clothes to competitors who can't afford the necessary but pricey garments.
Georgina Bloomberg is a student at NYU, where she is studying art and sports management. She says that her alliance with Ariat will allow her to combine two passions: horses and fashion design. Ms. Bloomberg plans to compete for a spot on the roster for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
