The Freeform Treeless Saddle is uniquely designed and manufactured by Omnika in Italy. It is made entirely of foam injected molding and this makes it one of the very few saddles that can combine the benefits of both treed and treeless saddles. The density of the foam used is such that the weight distribution is comparable to that of a treed saddle but without the restriction of a rigid tree. This enables the Freeform to remain entirely flexible, allowing it to move and adjust with the horse. The molding process has also allowed the Freeform to attain a more conventional appearance without losing that touch of style the Italians are so famous for and means the saddle can be used for a variety of equestrian disciplines.
We are very fortunate and honoured to have been involved with the design of the Freeform Treeless Saddle from it's conception over 2 years ago as we are able to work closely with the manufacturers who produce this unique treeless saddle. Some of our own ideas have been implemented such as the Adjustable Stirrup Attachment, the recent Forward Girth option and the SB version, all for the advancement of the Freeform.
With its roots based in the sport of Endurance riding (the ultimate test of any saddle), the qualities of the Freeform are proven. Without the restriction of a rigid tree, the freedom of movement encourages correct muscle usage and can therefore help any wasted muscle to regenerate. The benefits of this are not only helpful to the Endurance horse but also any other horse in any other discipline.
