The highest energy coarse mix, containing very palatable and digestible ingredients, Competition Extra Mix contains oats and other fast-releasing energy sources. Used by Pippa Funnel, Competition Extra Mix is ideal for horses in hard, intense work and at peak fitness such as racehorses and point-to-pointers, advanced or three-day eventers, trotters, and hunters doing three days a fortnight.
MINIMISING UPSETS AND OVERCOMING STRESS
All cereals in Light Competition Mix, Competition Extra Mix and Sustain are micronised, providing highly digestible starch to minimise digestive upsets. These mixes, also provide increased levels of micronutrients (vitamins, minerals and electrolytes - although supplementary electrolytes should still be offered after fast work and competition).
The inclusion of Protexin may help to overcome the effects of stress resulting from travel and competition.
