Walk Out - Wipe Out Campaign

Rag Fork
Rag-Fork is the simple solution to Ragwort, removing the whole plant including the roots. The Rag-Fork has been developed to remove this pernicious weed quickly and easily without the use of chemicals or Herbicides which can mean pastures can not be used for several weeks. Rag-Fork removes the whole plant including the roots, reducing the possibility for regrowth

The team at Rag-Fork are encouraging landowners to look for and dig up ragwort at all times throughout the year, not just in the summer months.

They are inviting people to join their 'Walk Out - Wipe Out' campaign against ragwort.

Becky Donald of Rag-Fork said: " Our aim in 2005 is to get the nation fit by encouraging them to take some time each week to walk out with their Rag-Fork to remove the plant and take some exercise at the same time."

The plant can be easily removed at its rossette stage so there is no need to wait unitl it flowers. the fork can be used to lift out many other common field weeds including thistles and docks.

Rag-Fork has also been accalimed for making a difference to the ease of paddock maintenace without putting strain on the back.

The lightweight and sturdy manufacture of Rag-Fork means it can be carried to the field, should you wish to take it when carrying out your daily field checks.
